Ballardo is a still young and developing defensive tackle prospect but has the ideal size/frame for the position already and offers plus length for the inside with a longer frame. He moves well for a size with a quick first step, can violently get off blocks without losing ground and is a bull rush guy from the inside that can overpower blockers with his initial strike, leverage, and overall strength at the point of attack. Still working on lateral agility/overall movement and twitch, currently he is a true run defender and will only continue to add to his passwords toolbox over the next three years.
