About Sam
Expert Analysis
Marcus Henry | Prep Redzone Scout
Sam lit up at Jordan on the freshman and JV teams last fall, showing the arm talent to spray the route tree with accuracy. He has the pocket awareness to make plays on broken plays and keep his eyes downfield, locating his targets in rhythm. His mechanics are clean and deliberate, allowing him to push the ball at the second level consistently. Sam understands how to throw with anticipation and routinely puts the ball where his receivers are able to make plays. Look for him to make a push for varsity playing time this fall.

It is rare to see a quarterback at this age have as much raw talent as Sam Spichiger. The Adam’s Junior High signal caller has some remarkable arm strength, to go along with some solid escape speed. Spichiger showcases a rocket arm on tape, able to throw 40-50 yards downfield. A number that will only increase as he ages. He also (like many new age QBs) has an ability to make plays off schedule, able to roll out of the pocket and either tuck it and run, or make some pretty impressive throws on the run. Spichiger also has some impressive field reading ability, able to quickly move off his primary read and find the open spot in the secondary.
