About Rylan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

First of all, I like to play to win. My Core style is playing but aggressive but smart football, whether I’m running the ball or executing short passes for the most yards possible. Defensively I attack the ball to put pressure on quarterbacks and receivers.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

If you ask most people, they will say I’m quiet, but when I speak I feel like people listen. I am not boastful, and I celebrate my friend’s victories just as they do mine. I am not easily distracted or influenced. I have strong beliefs on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Beta Club Fellowship Christian Athletes Spanish Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a leader, my teammates would probably say I have the qualities of authenticity, consistency, accountability, empathy and humility. Like I said to describe my personality, I am not easily distracted. When I come to practice I show up and give it all I’ve got. I am consistent with my schedule, whether it’s practice, gym time, school time, homework, I stay accountable and try to be an example.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At the start of my sophomore year, I was faced with a knee injury. It challenged me mentality and physically. I had to sit out a few games. But through hard work, physical therapy and a healthy mindset I was able to come back out on the field stronger and very thankful that I still get to play the game I love.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has good academics, and a football program that will help me develop as a person, player and young adult.
