Huffman was behind a 2,400-yard passer last season who will be tough to replace. That said, while we don’t yet have confirmation he’ll start for the 6A contenders, he was the only other player on the roster to attempt passes last season. Two of Freedom’s top three receivers are returning and the schedule is manageable, so the talented Huffman is walking into a nice situation.

The rising junior quarterback kept the sideline engaged, constantly encouraging both Freedom’s varsity defense and JV squad throughout the day. His leadership and passion for the game were impossible to miss.

On the field, Huffman showed a strong arm, sound decision-making, and the confidence you want in a signal caller. He plays with swagger, commands the offense well, and has the poise to make plays when it matters. The rising junior is a baller at quarterback and a player to keep an eye on this season.
