Ryant Lyons Ryant Lyons 6'0" | 150 lbs | ATH Weir | 2028 WV will be a solid piece for Weir to utilize over the next three years as they bounce back from a tough 2024 season after making the playoff semifinals in 2023. He could be labeled as an ATH in the rankings, but should be a standout at defensive back for the Red Riders this season. We got to see Lyons perform at quarterback this offseason, where he showed some potential and could be their starting quarterback as an upperclassman down the road. Length and athleticism are apparent in Lyons’ game as a young player, which should translate to varsity success sooner rather than later.

The Weir Red Riders have an opening at quarterback this season, and 2028 ATH Ryant Lyons Ryant Lyons 6'0" | 150 lbs | ATH Weir | 2028 WV looks primed to step in. We thought of Lyons as more of a DB prospect before the camp after seeing action their last season as a freshman, but he showed upside as a passer during Tuesday’s Spring Showcase. He’s a good athlete with length and threw some good balls at the camp. Lyons should settle in nicely as a young quarterback in year one of the Quincy Wilson era with dual-threat capabilities to build their offense around.
