Ryan missed most his junior year with a injury but he is back this season with force and needs to be on more colleges radars. A player I have seen many times over the years including his first game back from injury in Salesianum week 1 game vs. Red Lion Christian. In that game he was very active and made his presence felt with a handful of tkls / pressures & pass knockdowns.
An edge defender who can put his hand in the dirt or a stand up rush backer, Ryan offers positional versatility as an impact rusher. Ryan shows nice natural bend, burst& leverage off the snap. Displays a great motor and pursuit, he can get skinny and has the hips to flatten down the line to chase down ball carriers. Ryan plays with active hands and has an array or rush moves, can stunt, and can shed off blockers. Proving he can win at the LOS multiple ways and get himself into the backfield often & consistently.
With the frame and length to continue to fill out well, once at college with more time away from his injury and in a college weight program Ryan will hit another level even in my mind. Ryan is a player that with his high energy play, physicality, and explosiveness you got a dominate player to fear. Expect him to be an impact player wherever he ends up but college coaches need to start taking notice of the senior season he is having.
