Ryan McPhun Jr is a must see prospect out of Tru Prep Academy. Recently received defensive MVP at UA Next Camp series and has been putting in a lot of work from what i’ve seen. I’ve said this before but it’s hard to do what he did as an 8th grader playing varsity football but it’s even harder in South Florida and specifically Miami. Along with his 5’11 180 pound frame  McPhun is smart (3.7 GPA), physical, strong, and quick. This is a prospect that does everything extremely well and as he puts on some more mass and with 4 more years of varsity competition will be a top Linebacker in the state by the time 2028 rolls around.

The 5’11 180 pound backer gets it done on and off the field having a 3.7 GPA. Playing varsity competition in the state of Florida as an 8th grader is impressive but he plays as if he’s been doing it for years. The 8th grader in 6 games had 51 Tackles, 2 TFL, and 1 Sack. Mcphun Jr. has the speed and quickness to chase down the ball carrier and get off blocks. He has good size right now for his age and will only add on to the strength he already has. The physicality, ability to change directions and make textbook-formed tackles is exactly what you need at this position to be elite and Mcphun Jr. does all of these things extremely well.
