Gilbert II is a rangy cornerback with excellent ball skills, he plays press man with violent hands and his ability to mirror receivers in coverage enables him to lock down his opponent. He has great hips with ability to change directions fluidly to stay engaged to make plays on the ball. Ryan is a sure tackler in run support, taking proper angles to the ball carrier and he sets the edge well. The SMU commit is an elite cover corner and will be a key cog defensively for the Falcons this season.
