Patton had eye catching performance as he was able to breakout for 353 yards on the ground. He looked like a man on a mission running through tackles and turning on the jets being able to take it to the house on long TD runs. He is an explosive back that is able to make things happen in the open field. He is one of the top rushers in the state and if he continues this momentum he will have a strong case for best back in the state.

Patton was a big physical back that was able to tear through the defense. He was able to use his physicality to break tackles and gain extra yards. He was able to use his speed and break a big explosive play touchdown, where he walked into the endzone. He showed good vision being able to cut the ball back and find some lanes to run through. He will be a player to watch moving forward after turning some heads in this breakout 251 yard game.

Patton should be a player that catches some eyes this year with his explosiveness and his tackling ability. On blitzes Patton looks like he is being shot out of a cannon the way he attacks with his speed. He is able to recognize plays and react quickly which helps him play fast and meet ball carriers at or behind the line of scrimmage. He is a good open field tackler and he makes it hard for the ball carrier to get extra yardage as he usually wins the one on one plays. Patton hustles and flows with the play making tackles down the field when the ball carrier tries to cut back. He had a hand full of sacks last year and I think he will be able to build on those this year. I think Patton will be one of the top backers to watch this year.
