Garcia had himself a nice sophomore season, and continues to impress at the camps I’ve seen him at (PrepRedzone and University of Northern Colorado). The 5’10 165-pound receiver had 19 receptions for 302 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, good speed, and jumping. Good release at the line of scrimmage against both off coverage and press jam. Garcia has very good separation quickness due to his mental processing and athletic ability. He has very crisp routes and quick feet to make DBs miss. Or he will sit in the void patiently for his QB. Comes back during the scramble drill. Very good ball tracking and catching. He has strong hands and plucks the ball out of the air. Holds onto the ball while falling or during contact. I’m very impressed with Garcia’s crisp route running ability. With more opportunities going into his junior year, I believe he will surprise Colorado.
