Bartko has emerged as one of the more physical edge defenders in his class this past season, consistently overpowering his opponent. He shows an explosive first step off of the line, attacking blockers before they can get set and using his leverage to shed and penetrate the backfield. His ability to run through contact and finish plays makes him a constant disruption off the edge. Bartko finished the year with 43 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss and an impressive 11 sacks, production that reflects his impact in the trenches. He has a high motor and he plays with the kind of edge that defensive line coaches covet. With continued development and a strong offseason on the camp circuit, he has the tools to firmly plant himself on Division I recruiting boards and become a priority name for scouts.
