Rodney is a formidable physical presence in the trenches, at 6’2 260 pounds with a stout frame, broad shoulders and he has an extended arm reach. His explosive start off the line puts pressure on his opponents at the point of attack, making him a force to be reckoned with. On film, Jones plays with exceptional leverage, anchoring himself strongly at the point of attack and disrupting opposing offenses. A relentless defender, he never backs down, showcasing his high motor and he plays through the whistle. At the Trench Warfare Pass Rush School, Jones left a lasting impression on day one, displaying superb technique and an explosive burst, accompanied by clean footwork in drills.
