Gomez is a good athlete whose main position is kicker. At that spot as a junior last season, he produced seven touchbacks out of 23 kickoffs, connected on 1 of 2 field-goal attempts and 13 of 15 extra-point attempts. Gomes also registered 14.5 tackles (7 solo, 3.5 TFL) and a sack, completed a pass and caught four passes for 71 yards. His 11th-grade highlight video includes his kickoffs, extra points and field goals. Gomez generates plenty of power with a smooth and easy leg swing. He also alters his starting point depending on ball placement and gets through his process quickly.
