RJ Wiess looks really good on film. There is not a ball thrown in any direction that he can haul in from any physical posturing. Wiess has shown to make acrobatic plays when he makes turns in his routes. His route running is a bit unconventional; however, he manages to find ways to spin defenders in the wrong way. Wiess apparently has a wrestling background, which manifests itself when he is run blocking and on defense. Defensively, Wiess shined as a safety. He does a great job of squaring ball carriers up in the alley and wants to bring physicality to the fight. He also hustles his tail off. On one clip, Wiess was the far cover 2 safety and made the tackle on the far numbers.
