About Riley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a balanced running back with a combination of vision, speed, and toughness. At 6'0", 165 lbs, I use my frame to run with power while staying agile and explosive in open space. I take pride in my ability to read blocks, make quick cuts, and finish runs strong. I’m a team-first player who stays disciplined, coachable, and always ready to compete at full speed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a focused and disciplined mentality. I approach every practice, game, and workout with the mindset to improve and compete at my highest level. I’m coachable, hardworking, and always willing to put the team first. I stay calm under pressure and take pride in being consistent, reliable, and ready to lead when called upon.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At this time, I haven’t been involved in any clubs or received non-sport awards, but I’ve been fully committed to my training, academics, and becoming the best athlete and student, I can be. I’m always open to new opportunities for growth and plan to get more involved in the future.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football, I’ve developed key qualities like leadership, accountability, and teamwork. Whether it’s motivating my teammates during workouts or staying composed under pressure during games, I take pride in leading by example. I’ve also learned the value of communication and trust on and off the field. Outside of football, I’ve been involved in community service projects, which have helped me

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced challenges that have pushed me to grow both as an athlete and a person. One of the biggest was dealing with limited exposure early in my high school career. Instead of letting it discourage me, I used it as motivation to train harder, stay disciplined, and focus on improving every part of my game. It taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and self-belief.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers a strong combination of academics and a competitive football program. I want to be part of a team that values hard work, discipline, and development on and off the field. I'm open to all levels where I can contribute, grow as a player, and earn my degree.

In a heavy run offense, Riley has a few talented juniors ahead of him in the pecking order, but he showed enough in some limited carries to get onto our watchlist for his class. I like the “feel” Riley shows with the ball in his hands – East Bladen runs a lot from multiple back formations, and Riley shows the patience to allow blocks to form in front of him before showing a nice change of pace when he gets into space with speed and acceleration. Riley has good vision and gets north/south with little wasted motion or effort. I like his potential going forward.
