Thomas is a raw blend of really impressive athleticism, clocking GPS speeds over 23 MPH and proving to be a top high jumper in the state, hitting the 6’8 mark. As far as I can tell, all of those traits translate on tape. He demands cushion in coverage, which he runs through quickly for his size. He has functional suddenness to separate and is a scrappy, high-energy player, which benefits him when he needs to get physical. With two years ahead of him, it’s hard to see a world where he doesn’t generate some recruiting attention.

Rett Thomas Rett Thomas Rett Thomas 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR/DB Appling County | 2028 GA is the star for this program when it comes to the passing attack, as he is going to be the target that the quarterback looks at the most. He is also one of the better defenders on the team after he finished last season with two interceptions on the defensive side. He will be needed on both offense and defense in a major way for the 2026 season, but if he shows up in the way that many expect, then he will begin to earn more offers and could even be a future P4 prospect.

For a younger, smaller prospect Thomas impressed me with his footwork and consistency throughout the entire camp. He wasn’t one of the top testers, but he was extremely fluid in all other aspects of the camp. For being a 2028 prospect he is a pretty smooth route runner and can change direction very easily, allowing him to create separation. Thomas also has great hands, plucking the ball out of the air and tucking it away before anyone has a chance to knock it loose.
