Reed has been on a tear in recruiting over the last week. The 3# ranked TE and a top 100 player in the state picked up 5 offers recently. Coming from Georgetown, Columbia, Bucknell, Fordham & Lafayette. A player I have been high on for the last year. Reed is a versatile do it all TE with a great size, frame, and athleticism. Fluid and tough with strong hands and good ball skills. As you can tell from his offers he is also a high academic prospect, and getting interest from Harvard, Yale as well as other Ivy’s & the Academies. I expect plenty more offers to come Reed’s way and should be getting strong look from FBS programs this spring.
After a great conversation with @Coach_Poppe, I’m honored to receive an Offer from Columbia!@CoachMarkham_ @CoachT_82 @CoachAJG @CoachStraley @SSmith_II @Coach_Batti @Coach_Butler_ @HHSBullsFB @QB_Factory @tdhald @PRZVicCastillo @robking2020 @EdOBrienCFB @CoachCoreydmv… pic.twitter.com/JJJxlYzD8f

is the kind of impact player every offense needs—tough, versatile, and explosive. Whether he’s pancaking defenders in the run game, turning short catches into chunk plays, or stretching the field as a deep threat, Shilling consistently finds ways to influence the game.
Fresh off an All-County campaign, Shilling has already proven he can perform at a high level. His ability to win in one-on-one matchups and contribute in multiple phases makes him a valuable asset at the next level. With continued development, the rising prospect is primed for a breakout season that could push his recruitment to new heights.

Reed is a player I got to see live recently at the QB Factory and I came away really liking what I saw from his game. He was first team all county TE.
With a thick build, good lower half and a frame that will turn into a jacked body with more time in the weigh room – Reed looks the part. An athletic kid, he shows good burst and can get on his horse for some big chunk plays. Proven by his 23.2 YPC and 203 YAC which makes up 58.3% of his total receiving yard and is an avgerage of 13.5 YAC per reception. An impressive route runner, Reed can stick his foot in the ground and go, drop his hips and make sharp cuts. He shows strong hands able to pluck the ball out the air and a big catch radius. A complete TE as well he is an effective blocker getting good leverage and drive.
Reed is a TE that can play inline or flexed out and is a do it all player for the position. He also carries 5.38 WGPA and is a thrower in track. I expect Reed to turn plenty of heads next year as more people get eyes on him, that includes college coaches. After his junior year I would be surprised if he doesn’t have high academic/FBS schools calling him.
