Ranier Caswell is a great safety prospect in the 2028 class. With his size (6’2″), long arms, and athleticism, he makes plays all over the field. He is a type of safety that is good against the run and the pass. There is no slippage in either part of his game. As a pass defender, he shows good instincts with the way he makes plays on the ball. He has good closing speed as he regularly chases plays down all over the field. He also shows good ball skills to knock down passes thrown near him. As a safety, he flashes good skills.

Ranier Caswell is a talented defensive back. He does a good job as both a run defender and a pass defender. As a run defender, he is excellent at flying downhill and tackling offensive players. He also does a good job of hitting offensive players as they feel his tackles. He also made a great play on a fumble recovery when he scooped it up and returned it for a touchdown. Caswell is a dynamic and talented defensive back who has a bright future.

. 6’2, 180 pounds. Likely a two-way contributor, yet I’d say he’ll likely be sloted to see substantial reps in the secondary.
Caswell Jr. currently has no tape up on Hudl, yet I’m willing to call my shot here based on what I’ve learned about him and his 2028 counterparts this off-season. In similar fashion to Richardson and Williams, Caswell is going to have to produce at a high level to maintain his current ranking. Worth noting that Caswell is up two inches and 20 pounds since our last measurable update.

Ranier Caswell is a good athlete who moves well. His ability to run is impressive. In the limited film, I saw him run extremely well. On one play he went up and intercepted a pass over a wide receiver and returned it for a touchdown. Caswell’s athleticism is excellent, and he has a chance to be a great player going forward.
