You can immediately see on film that Blount runs with forward lean and looks as though he is galloping like a horse when he is aggressively gaining ground horizontally. My impression was that Blount is instinctual as a runner, especially when getting in-and-out of danger, doing just about anything to scape a defender’s clutches, including spin, shake, and reverse field. Speed is a part of the equation as well. Just when you think he is zeroed in on, Blount manages to outrun the defensive pursuit and score. Up the sideline there are glimpses of balance, which also is shown when he tries to turn a tight corner.
