Bell’s upside is through-the-roof, especially if he continues to grow and develop on schedule.  He is a good receiver/safety prospect who can high-point the ball and displays good coverage skills, timing the ball well to break up passes.

Bell is a long and athletic defensive back for the Lions. He has the versatility to line up both in the box and single high. Bell has the athleticism to defend in man coverage and the comfort and instincts to play in zone coverage. Though you see a little bit of tentativeness sometimes in trusting his eyes, you definitely see flashes of his athleticism and ability to break the ball and make plays. As he gets more experience and more reps, he’ll get the confidence to trust his eyes and play to the speed he’s capable of.
