He is an athletic player with good foot speed and a strong football IQ. Ware showcases good read-and-react ability, quickly attacking downhill in the running game while staying square with good pad level. He uses effective angles and upper arm strength to shed blocks and make plays at the line of scrimmage or in the backfield. Ware has a sideline-to-sideline motor, along with the physicality and speed to shoot gaps, make plays in the backfield, and chase down ball carriers. He is a solid open-field tackler with good technique and pad level. In coverage, he exhibits a strong understanding of both zone and man principles, keying the quarterback’s eyes and reacting to arrive at the catch point. His solid change of direction and lateral agility allow him to transition through assignments and stay with his man effectively.”
