Chris Redding | Prep Redzone Scout
The Bristol Central WR/OLB showed he was one of the best players all day. Quincy was great in the testing running a 4.84 40 yard dash, 4.28 shuttle run and 28.5 vertical. During individual he was very good with his drill work and was always one of the first in line. He was explosive on both sides of the ball in 7v7 and showed to be hard to stop in 1v1s. Quincy will be a good prospect that can provide value on both sides of the ball.

, a promising 2026 WR prospect from Bristol Central High School in Connecticut. Standing at an estimated 6’3″ and weighing an estimated 185 pounds, Lawson’s physical attributes alone suggest a significant ceiling for development, particularly in the wide receiver role.
Scouts will be keenly assessing several key factors during his performance. Firstly, speed and lateral quickness are paramount. Although there were no clips in his highlight reel that accurately gauge his straight-line velocity, live drills will provide crucial insights into his acceleration and ability to change direction. Given his long frame, it’s vital that he demonstrates fluidity and speed to separate from defenders at the next level.
Secondly, Lawson’s demonstrated physicality and work ethic in his edge responsibilities on defense will be closely examined. He shows a commendable ability to engage with blockers while maintaining awareness of the play. Scouts will look for his toughness and stamina, particularly his capacity to perform consistently throughout the combine.
Additionally, the showcase will offer an opportunity to evaluate Lawson’s flexibility and agility, particularly how well he can bend during routes or defensive maneuvers. His highlight films reflect a player who can effectively “pluck” the ball from the air, showcasing hand-eye coordination and the potential for strong catches in contested scenarios.
Finally, intangibles such as his competitive spirit and hustle—evident in his dedication to play until the whistle—will be under scrutiny. A well-rounded display of physical ability combined with a strong work ethic could solidify Lawson’s status as one of the premier dual-threat prospects in his class. As scouts analyze his performance, they will look to confirm the promise displayed in his highlight film versus the realities of competitive play.

Film review: Physical. Long and rangy prospect.. He plays consistently to the whistle. Lawson makes good use of his hands and can bend to make different moves. The 2nd clip in his week 2 highlight film shows he willingness and strength to take on blocks while reading and reacting to ball carrier. He does so while still maintaining his edge responsibilities. There are no clips to accurately gauge his speed, however he did display long strides while running after the catch and into the endzone on the first clip of his week 2 highlight film. Very good looking prospect. He will be added to class of 2026 rankings during the next update period.
