is growing quickly into a solid cog to plug the interior gaps on the trenches. Johnson finished with 31 tackles, 8 TFLs, and 2.5 sacks as a junior. Johnson has a good first step and does a great job gaining leverage outside of the blocker’s reach. Johnson may seem undersized for an interior-defensive lineman, but he possesses plenty of power and good handwork to back his position up, being able to knock blockers backward and make tough hits in the backfield, while also showing the ability to get up and bat down passes. If Johnson can bulk up a bit this year, he could become an even stronger force against the run heading into his senior campaign.

had a solid junior season in which he tallied 31 tackles, eight TFLs, and 2.5 sacks from that interior spot. My biggest takeaway from Quayshon’s game was his explosiveness and first step, which showed that he can explode off the ball and be the aggressor at the point of attack. He plays with consistent pad level and takes advantage of his natural leverage to get under blockers when firing. Good footwork and leg drive when engaged, keeping him from giving up ground against his opponents. Quayshon is still flying under the radar on the recruiting circuit, but should gain more traction this season as he steps into a bigger role as a senior.

I scouted Liberty on at least three occasions last season and was intrigued by Harrington-Johnson. He’s a powerful performer that plays with good pad level and strong leg-drive. He finished his junior season with 31.0 tackles (18 solo, 8.5 TFL) and 2.5 sacks. A second-team all-conference selection, Harrington-Johnson impresses during his junior highlight video. He plays assignment football, absorbing blocks, freeing up others to make plays or disengaging and pouncing on the opponent when the ball comes his way.
