Another one of my early evaluation hits from over a year ago. Recently saw Qeanu Johnson Qeanu Johnson 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Hamden Hall | 2025 State New E work out live, with over two dozen college coaches present, at Hamden Hall’s pro-day back in late May. Came away from that workout more than impressed. My colleagues ranking New England prospects clearly were as well, with Qeanu reaching a peak in ranking, a top 10 placement.
Can argue recruitment has been relatively quiet as of late, with offers coming from Akron and Air Force over the past three months. That being said, Johnson locked into an Official Visit with Duke not too long ago, unsure if that visit was taken, however. Duke likely a great fit, yet opportunities with Minnesota, Oregon State, as well as Temple are likely still available. It’s worth noting Johnson’s official visit to Syracuse, which was supposed to take place two weeks into June. We will have our eyes peeled on where Johnson decides to call home.

Qeanu Johnson Qeanu Johnson 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Hamden Hall | 2025 State New E attends Hamden Hall in Connecticut. He is a prosepct that continues to climb in the rankings. He is known for his versatility and high level blocking ability to hit moving targets in open field. He takes pride in his blocking abilities. Starts both ways, contributes in all three phases. He has a 6’1 | 190, frame that looks chiseled out, and could pass for 200+ if you didn’t know better.
This 2023 season he had 17 touchdowns, 2 interceptions – (of them pick six for 99 yards), 1,280- all purpose yards, 11 carries for 164 rushing yards, 33 receptions for a total of 584 yards , 8 kick returns for 261 yards, and 6 punt returns for 172 yards. He performed at a high level and caught the attention of many league coaches. His season performances earned him Evergreen League Offensive Player of The Year as well as 1st team All-NEPSAC and 1st team All-Evergreen honors.
He was ranked as our #2 athlete in the class of 2025 within New England before the fall 2023 season. His physical measurables and athletic talents could align with the Div-1 FBS group of five/or High Div- 1 FCS college-level prospects. He is a prospect that has drawn early offers from schools such as Army WP, Indiana, Yale, and Boston College. He is projected to spark additional college football interest after his great junior season of play.
