A commit to FCS powerhouse and frequent NFL talent producer NDSU, Barnslater is a certified PRZ Rankings Riser, a member of the MN All-Star game, and the definition of an athlete. He was forced to step into the QB1 role for Apple Valley this year, but his insane athleticism that got him that NDSU offer is still evident on his tape. His speed and quickness are bordering on the elite, and paired with fantastic acceleration, Barnslater is a legit problem as soon as the ball is in his hands. If I had to guess, I’d say Barnslater is a DB at the next level, in which case his potential for success is vast. Barnslater welcomes contact and can be seen disrupting passes with physical tackling, as well as having an impact as a boundary defender in the run game. I’m pumped to see what he can do in Fargo.

Q Barnslater Q Barnslater Q Barnslater 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR/DB Apple Valley | 2026 State MN ‘s stat-line was modest last season, catching 41 passes for 414 yards and 4 touchdowns last season, but his level of talent is so impressive that he’s already committed to North Dakota State going forward. His numbers were impressive considering he missed the first 4 games of the season due to an injury, and his presence was sorely missed, as Apple Valley went 1-3 during that span, and with him in the lineup, they reached the sectional championship game. Showcasing sharp agility, great acceleration, and the ability to win on 50-50 go-balls, Barnslater was a reliable target breaking through all 3 levels of the secondary, and he even threw for a touchdown pass last season, showing strong power on his throw. Barnslater is a clear difference-maker for Apple Valley’s offense, and I’m excited to see how he performs at full health for his senior campaign.
