Preston was a major catalyst behind Woodhaven’s impressive 2025, helping lead one of the area’s most productive offenses. All season, he showed poise and confidence and always made the right decisions. As a passer, Preston was super efficient. He processed things quickly and got the ball out in time, distributing it to all of his receivers. His arm strength allowed him to attack every level of the field, and with that was pinpoint accuracy. His athleticism added another layer to his game. He doesn’t rush to leave the pocket, but still does a great job of picking his spots and dealing damage when he catches a defense sleeping on his legs. His growth has been impressive, and his dynamic skillset makes him a huge upside QB. 

I still haven’t forgotten about that Woodhaven team. Preston and the rest of his Woodhaven team had the Michigan high school football universe in a trance in 2025. Such a fun team to watch, and such a fun group to root for. Preston was a major part of that success throughout the season. He really embodied the low ego and high output. In fact, he was one of the most productive quarterbacks in the entire state. He was confident, slinging the ball around, and dealing damage with his legs. He led this team to new heights against top teams extremely well. He’s gritty, scrappy and will undoubtedly be must-watch this fall.

The first 4 weeks have been extremely productive for Preston and his Woodhaven team. They’re now 4-0, and he is a massive reason for it. He is able to play within the offense and make quick decisions with confidence. I love seeing him get it done through the air and on the ground, making the defense give him a little more respect.

-Good arm. Fires ball with confidence and knows where his open guy is going to be.

-Good legs, gets behind his blockers and makes one cut to the open lane. Great heads up running that earns him a few more yards regularly.

-Key piece to a very successful offense where everything seemingly runs through him. Great facilitator.

Preston is looking like he’ll be a phenomenal player for Woodhaven. He’s a rare 2028 prospect with a good amount of film, both on Hudl and Twitter.

His tape from last fall shows great abilities for a middle schooler. While I don’t love his arm talent or his throwing motion, Preston seems to play confidently and consistently. Namely, Preston is able to fit the ball into some tight windows, and he’s able to put quite a bit of juice behind every throw. I think that Preston just needs a year or two of High School experience before he’s a great Varsity QB. I can’t wait to see what he’ll accomplish this season!
