He’s helped lead Westfield HS to a 5-0 record, while totaling 750+ all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns so far in 2026. Sutherland is very athletic and has exceptional quick-twitch agility, helping him dodge defenders at the line of scrimmage to average 6.4 yards per carry.

If he continues this type of production, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be seeing some bigger offers rolling in soon.

Sutherland has been awesome for the Bulldogs and is putting himself in good position for college coaches, this is an offer able/underrated 2027 prospect. I do not think people realize how good this make him look with him staying at Westfield. He could of transferred out like a few of his teammates did but instead he stayed and thrived. Averaging over 6 yards per carry, he is a part of arguably the best one-two combo running backs in Virginia.

He has excellent speed, vision, and burst as a runner to go along with his ability to be productive as a pass-catcher out of the backfield as well.

The 1st-team All-District ball-carrier could have a massive season this year for WHS, as they’ll likely lean on him even more in 2026. He looks bigger than 170 lbs. on the field, as he consistently puts his shoulder down and bounces off would-be tacklers at the second-level of the defense.

PJ wins with speed and processing. He shows good patience in both inside and outside runs to allow his blocking to develop. Quickly identifies the hole with his good vision and uses his good speed and burst to quickly get to the second level. He has good short-area quickness, where he can make a move on second-level defenders and find open space where his speed takes over. Shows solid balance as a runner to keep his feet through weak tackle attempts. Shows he can run basic routes out of the backfield.

Sutherland is a smooth/quick back who gashed the Generals defense for 214 rushing yards and 5 scores. An absurd number regardless but when you factor in he did this all on 14 carries that makes it even more impressive.
