Phoenix Henriquez
About Phoenix
Expert Analysis
Todd Haldis | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the top WRs in the state, Phoenix proved that all season long as he lead the state in receiving yards with with over 900 yards and just under 1,200 APY. He also accounted for 20 total scores with 15 of them being TD receptions.
Phoenix is a speedy big play threat who showcases the ability to get loose for highlight plays at any moment. A crisp route runner as well, he stems and snaps and can get a good release at the LOS. A dynamic playmaker he gets on top of the DBs in just a few strides and has them on their heels. The Syracuse commit should continue his stellar production into the playoffs and be a problem for defenses every down.
Blessed to be Preseason #1 Player and WR in the State!! @CuseFootball @247Sports@On3sports @EdOBrienCFB @coachmikejudy @Rivals_HS @Mvsj21_ pic.twitter.com/G1gO7kDnAv

Overview: Henriquez is both a crisp route runner and a burner at wideout. He lines up in the slot and out wide. Whether he’s breaking in or out, Henriquez can snap his route off or change directions at the drop. And when he gets a free release, he automatically puts defensive backs on their heels as he threatens to take one over the top. His coaches move him around like a chess piece, lining him in the backfield, in addition to the traditional receiver positions. Because of how dynamic he is for his size, Henriquez does project best as a Z but he’s more so a pure athlete you want to get the ball to in space.

is an exciting wide receiver in the class of 2026 with the ability to create mismatches, especially when lined up as an inside receiver. At 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, he has the size to be an outside threat but excels in the slot, where he can take advantage of slower safeties and linebackers. His quick release off the line of scrimmage and his ability to read coverage and adjust routes make him a highly effective target. Henriquez’s highlight plays showcase his ability to accelerate after the catch, turning short receptions into explosive touchdowns. His 70-plus-yard touchdown off a bubble screen highlights his ability to make defenders miss and outrun the secondary once he gets into open space.
Henriquez also demonstrates a strong understanding of route running. His ability to avoid jams at the line and create separation against zone coverage makes him a reliable target in the intermediate passing game. His dig and seam routes are well-executed, and he shows toughness in contested situations, making catches even when taking hits. His ability to manipulate defenders with fakes—like on his fade route touchdown—makes him a valuable scoring option in the red zone. While Henriquez is not purely a speed burner, he has excellent burst off the line and enough long speed to pull away from defenders once he gets into the open field.
Henriquez is a versatile receiver who can play both inside and outside, making him a valuable asset in multiple offensive schemes. His ability to create after the catch, run precise routes, and read coverages at a high level makes him a strong prospect. With added strength and continued improvement in his top-end speed, he has the potential to be a major playmaker at the next level.
