About Peyton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am versatile defensive player that plays multiple positions on the defensive line. I am aggressive and extremely quick off the line, which provides me an advantage at the line of scrimmage. I have a high football IQ which enables me to adapt to fluid situations occurring on the football field. I also have the ability to easily adjust accordingly in response to the play at hand.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a motivated dual-sport athlete that strives to achieve in the classroom and on the field. I have consistently held a high GPA, dedicated additional time to self-improvement to hone my skills on the field. I do the "right thing" all the time, even when no one is looking. This is important as it fosters trust and accountability from my coaches, teachers, and parent.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have held a part-time job for three years and feel the responsibility of being an athlete and maintaining employment is important. It teaches responsibility, time management, and leadership skills. Playing sports and being employed part-time will benefit me later in life.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned a great deal from my parents, church, part-time job, and from my mentor/movement coach. They have taught me leadership, the importance of teamwork, and to be selfless in behavior and communication. They have also taught me to be compassionate and the importance of sportsmanship.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have not individually; however, I nearly lost my brother in 2018 to an illness. It was an extremely difficult time, and I didn't think I would be able to get through it. I struggled with emotions and especially with not knowing what was going to happen. God help me and my family through it and my brother made a full recover.

What type of college are you looking for?

I don't have a particular college in mind. I am open to attending to just about any college that is available. I just want to further my education, first and foremost, and also have the opportunity to play the sport I have loved since I was five years old.
