Another dynamic two-way standout from North Georgia who deserves more recognition, Groce is coming off an outstanding junior season where he showed impressive speed, agility, toughness, and natural playmaking ability. At running back Grove took off for 1,168 yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, the sure-tackling safety made 65 tackles, six TFLs and two INTs. He’s one of the better players in the area and is bound for a massive senior season in 2025.

fan after seeing him live at our Prep Redzone Combine last Winter and again at our personal combine last Summer. He was in the Top 5% in all the metric categories at the PRZN Combine and had the fastest 40-yd laser time (4.5) of the 150 kids we tested last Summer. Not only a producer at Camp but also gets in done on the field. He rushed for over 1000 yards last Fall and recorded 65 TT on defense. Will be a 4-yr starter at the high school level.
Offers/Outlook
No reported offers yet. A natural football player that checks all the boxes on and off the field. Someone will get a steal next Winter.

An electric North Georgia running back who can score from anywhere on the field, Groce is a quick, explosive runner who is tough to run down from behind. He hits the hole hard and is one of the more dangerous runners in the area in the open field. Grove ran for a respectable 1,168 yards and 12 touchdowns last fall as a junior, averaging 129 yards per game and 7.5 yards per carry. He may not be the biggest back, but he brings easy speed and should light up the state sheet again as a senior in 2025.

played both ways for Gordon Lee and was at or near the top of several leaderboards in terms of production. He projects as a scat-back, where his speed and playmaking ability in space would complement a bigger back well. A good way to tell how fast and electric a kid is is to watch the defenders trying to make a play on him. When Groce sticks his foot in the ground and gets vertical, he kicks up dust and leaves would-be tacklers falling over themselves trying to get a hand on him. Based on a quick look, I think he has D1 speed.

found the endzone 3 times in a win against Heritage while rushing for 148 yards. Groce is a well-rounded back with athletic traits and skills that translate. He possesses enough speed to catch the edge against defenses and run away when he is in the open field. His change of direction and bounce in his feet is the most impressive part of this evaluation, as he has the ability to escape defenders and find new running lanes. He isn’t a thumper, but he doesn’t shy away from contact and will drop his shoulder to finish runs. Groce has a solid speed profile and is explosive.

The Junior athlete was a workhorse for the Trojans on Friday.
Unofficially, he carried the ball 19 times for 117 yards with 3 TDs and ran tough through the tackles all night.
He added 3 solo tackles on defense and had a bone crushing hit on a Heritage WR late in the game.

Groce is no stranger to us here at Prep Redzone. He was a top 5% competitor in all the metric categories this Spring at Camp. Runs a laser 4.5 40 and checks off all the boxes.
He rushed for 148 yards with 3 TDs as the Single A Trojans upset (3A) Heritage 38-28 on Friday.
An All Region DB last Fall in 6-3A and rarely leaves the field on Friday night playing most of the snaps on both sides of the ball. Good football IQ, coaches son, and is a strong competitor on the field, in the weight room, and in the class room.

The 5’9 175 rising Junior has the potential to be one of hidden gems in the North Georgia area next year. Agile and explosive in the testing and showed coverage ability in the 1v1s.
Was a 1st Team All Region DB this season at Gordon Lee and will be a 4 year starter by the time his high school career is done. Great football IQ , son of a head coach, and is a workout warrior off the field. A next level guy that needs to be on your radar.
