About Peyton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is aggressive, physical, and strategic. I use my strength to dominate on the field, but it's my football IQ that sets me apart. I take pride in reading plays quickly and making decisive moves to outpower opponents and make key stops. I'm always thinking a step ahead while bringing intensity to every snap.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is built on toughness and resilience. I'm coachable and constantly seeking ways to improve, always pushing myself and my teammates no matter the score. I bring a physical edge to every play, and I stay focused on doing what’s needed for the team to succeed, even in the toughest situations.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I plan to participate in the National Honor Society at my school, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence and leadership. Additionally, I’m dedicated to giving back through continued volunteer work in my community, where I aim to make a positive impact and support those around me.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve always loved being a leader and making an impact on those around me, especially younger athletes. Growing up, I looked up to older athletes and now I strive to be that same role model for kids today. My family owns a strength and sports performance facility, and I enjoy helping my brother-in-law with youth sessions and lessons. It’s rewarding to help kids improve and get stronger.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

While I haven’t faced any major life challenges, like any athlete, I've experienced the highs and lows of performance. There are games where everything clicks and others where things don’t go as planned. The key is learning to overcome those tough plays, shake it off, and focus on the next one. I’ve developed a strong mindset, staying composed and resilient in the face of setbacks.

What type of college are you looking for?

I believe I am ready to advance my game to the next level and am committed to working hard every day to improve. I’m looking for a great 4-year school with a strong football program and a coaching staff that will push me to reach my full potential.

During a difficult season at Senior in 2024, Goedken kept competing. It resulted in 30.0 tackles (13 solo, 1.0 TFL) and a fumble recovery during his junior campaign. On his 11th-grade highlight video, Goedken looks comfortable lining up in the middle of the second level. He diagnoses plays quickly and flows well with his teammates. For him, that leads to the ball, where he finishes plays with sound technique. While run support is a strength, instincts and athleticism lead to success in coverage as well. Goedken could fit as a linebacker, hybrid or safety on the next level. He lists running back as his secondary position, so offense might be a possibility.
