I’ve always liked Pat’s tape. The fact of the matter is that if he was a few inches taller, he’d be way more likely to earn offers. His tape shows flashes of elite between-the-tackles run-stopping. The moment when Pat diagnoses a play, he shoots toward the ball carrier like a bullet. Oftentimes being the only off-ball LB between the tackles, Pat shoots the gaps and makes plays. On top of that, I like Pat’s ability to blitz. I’ve always viewed Pat as a great D3 prospect based on his tape, but he hasn’t received that attention for whatever reason. He’ll be at the Hope College camp as I’m writing this, so I hope he performs well here.
