The Next Great Minnesota Linemen is always just around the corner. Possibly the recruiting story of the entire 2025 season, St. Peter’s senior 6’7, 260 lb. OT Parker Maloney Parker Maloney 6'7" | 260 lbs | OL/DL St. Peter | 2026 MN has gone from unknown to FBS-offeree in the matter of a month, first getting on PRZMN’s radar in late September and quickly rocketing onto D1 recruiting boards shortly after. With eye-catching measureables, Maloney’s basketball tape really pops in particular, showcasing his athleticism with some very impressive dunks that are as explosive as they are smooth. On the hardcourt, Maloney is a fluid and quick mover who shows both strength and physicality at the rim. The Hamline Pipers basketball team have offered a MIAC roster to prove his collegiate basketball worth, but the footwork, balance, and quickness translate especially well to the gridiron, and I frankly couldn’t believe my eyes when I turned on his tape for the first time.
The LT is incredibly long, with an absurd amount of room to fill in and add weight, and he’s noticeably bendy and really explodes and brings his hips through contact, which can send defenders flying when he puts a good stick on them. He possesses maybe the best start/start ability I’ve seen in a 6’7 prospect. His ability to change direction suddenly and concisely when cutting off and trying to block second and third level defenders in space is incredibly rare to see in a linemen of his size, especially for an OL this under the radar. Additionally, I love the pass set. Maloney explodes off the LOS and out of his stance like a TE or WR, is able to cover a ton of ground laterally and has good field awareness in zone blocking schemes that allows him to identify that free defender effectively. Also displays a good base that can absorb and redistribute contact well in pass protection The St. Peter product is definitely raw, but there’s strength, a willingness and effectiveness to play with physicality, and a crazy amount of bend/flexibility/COD/explosiveness in a frame that towers over the competition in his senior tape.
To sweeten the pot, Maloney also placed 5th in the 2025 Class AA state track & field meet in the discus with a 164’2 throw, reports a 79.5″ wing, 9’5 broad, 4.83 pro-agility, 4.89 L-drill, and 4.78 40, not to mention is a 2024 All-District pick on the gridiron and 2024-25 All-Conference HM selection on the hardwood. Too good to be true? No sir! Maloney earned an offer from Western Michigan on October 5th, his first overall offer, and given the fact that WMU did their homework here, I’d expect more offers to follow this initial MAC scholarship. This one is a fun walk down narrative street, folks!
