About Owen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is physical. I primarily play Defensive Tackle in a even front 4-4 defense. On offense I play a blocking back position and TE. In both positions, I'm there to move bodies for our offensive backfield.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a fun, down to earth person. I love my teammates and enjoy spending time with them off the field as well as going to battle with them on it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the PVHS National Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Teamwork by taking on double teams to free up a linebacker along with lead blocking at times on offense. Accepting my role to me is leadership and team work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My Freshman and sophomore years were difficult. We won a few games my Freshman year, but we were 0-10 my Sophomore year. We hired a new coach that required a lot more out of us in the weight room and at practice. In the end, we were given a road to success. We just had to trust the process and do the work.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that gives me an opportunity to continue my dream of playing 4 more years. I didn't start playing until my Freshman year as I was a soccer player until the end of my Sophomore year. I want a place with a family feel and a great atmosphere to be a part of.

The PikeView Panthers are having a revitalized season, and it’s because of a solid senior class with players like 2026 TE/DL Owen Underwood Owen Underwood Owen Underwood 6'0" | 220 lbs | DL/LB PikeView | 2026 WV . He’s made significant progress since his junior season in the second year of head coach Jack Turner’s tenure. Underwood is doing a nice job as a two-way player, being a punishing blocker at tight end in their Wing-T offense and creating havoc along the defensive line. He’s capable of playing either position at the next level and is worthy of some small college looks from his senior season.
