About Owen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is physical. I primarily play Defensive Tackle in a even front 4-4 defense. On offense I play a blocking back position and TE. In both positions, I'm there to move bodies for our offensive backfield.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a fun, down to earth person. I love my teammates and enjoy spending time with them off the field as well as going to battle with them on it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the PVHS National Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Teamwork by taking on double teams to free up a linebacker along with lead blocking at times on offense. Accepting my role to me is leadership and team work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My Freshman and sophomore years were difficult. We won a few games my Freshman year, but we were 0-10 my Sophomore year. We hired a new coach that required a lot more out of us in the weight room and at practice. In the end, we were given a road to success. We just had to trust the process and do the work.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that gives me an opportunity to continue my dream of playing 4 more years. I didn't start playing until my Freshman year as I was a soccer player until the end of my Sophomore year. I want a place with a family feel and a great atmosphere to be a part of.

An underrated part of PikeView’s turnaround season in 2025 was because of TE/DL Owen Underwood Owen Underwood Owen Underwood 6'0" | 230 lbs | DL/LB PikeView | 2026 State WV . He did a great job on both sides of the ball for the Panthers as a blocking tight end and defensive tackle. Underwood totaled 52 tackles, 5 TFLs, and 5 sacks on the year as primarily an inside player during his senior year. He’s garnering D2 and NAIA interest in recent weeks and could end up being a steal for a college program at his current ranking.
