Expert Analysis
Corey Bailey | Prep Redzone Scout
Owen Rielly’s recruiting stock continues to surge after most recently landing offers from Maryland and Penn State. A fast, strong, and explosive lineman, Rielly consistently drives defenders 10 yards off the ball and finishes with authority, routinely pancaking opponents at the point of attack.
His athleticism and versatility stand out on film, as he has the skill set to line up anywhere along the offensive line. That same power, movement ability, and aggressiveness also suggest he could project as a defensive lineman if needed. With his physical tools and positional flexibility, Rielly is the type of prospect college staffs covet in the trenches.

Owen stood out in warm-ups and from play one for Bel Air. He’s a big, physical OL, standing 6’5″ 290 and playing LT for the Bobcats. All games long Owen showed off his strength, power and drives in his blocking of the Overlea defenders. Owen is a monster in the RBK game. A war daddy, junk yard dog type who plays through the whistle. When get gets engaged with the DL, Owen overpowers them, and takes them out of the play. All game long I watched him bury DL in the ground, move them down the field and block them out of frame.
He has the mentality, strength and physical play to be a dominate OL. Owen recently just picked up his first P4 offer from Virginia Tech and I would expect more to come shortly.

continues to prove he’s one of the most well-rounded and physically dominant players on the field, excelling on both sides of the ball. His wrestling background is evident in every snap, showing up in his balance, hand placement, leverage, and relentless motor. That foundation gives him a rare combination of strength, power, and refined technique that translates seamlessly to the gridiron.
Recruiting momentum continues to build for Reilly, who recently picked up his third Division I offer from Old Dominion University, adding to previous offers from Liberty and Marshall. With his rare blend of toughness, technique, and athleticism, Reilly is firmly on the radar as a rising two-way standout in the 2027 class.

Reilly has an impressive combination of size, length, and power. His bull rush allows him to overpower offensive linemen with ease. His highlights showcase him effectively setting the edge against the run. Reilly also has a forceful punch and establishes control early in plays. His physicality at the point of attack stands out. That’s one of the reasons why he’s a reliable run stopper and an effective pass rusher. I think he has solid power moves, but I would like to see him work on getting quicker with his first step.

Reilly was named All-3A North and made the Second Team All-Conference list, he finished the season with 54 tackles, 38 solos, 3 TFL’s and even blocked a punt. He has great size, already at 6’5 250lbs and uses it to his advantage along with brute strength, he stops blockers in their tracks and sniffs out the ball carrier. The run stopper isn’t just a big body in the center of the line, his athleticism peaks through as he chases down screen plays on the perimeter.
