As a result, much of his game tape features his highlights as a ball carrier. That said, my trained eye leads me to believe that Irwin is likely a college defensive back. At Corner, Irwin does a great job of catching the ball with his hands. He also trusts what he sees, knowing that seeing is believing. This allows him to play fast and fly to the ball. Each play you see of him defending, Irwin is either playing the ball. or his matchup’s hands, depending the appropriateness of each scenario. Despite his size, he has shown a level of physicality, especially when using his hands to shed blocks. Lastly, I was impressed with Irwin’s strong presence as a tackler.
