Pannell came out to our event back in the spring and had a great day. He covered some physical receivers, speedy and shifty slot guys, and some receivers that had quite a bit of size on him, but it didn’t matter. He was able to lock guys down with great technique. Checking in on his film, Pannell displays all of the athletic traits that he demonstrated during camp season. Great speed, fluid hips, and sticky 1v1 coverage. Absolutely deserving of a spot in our rankings, and on a trajectory to keep pushing forward!

Obrian has had a wonderful summer up to this point. I have seen him in his element multiple times and I always come away impressed. I would not be surprised if this momentum carries into the fall and he has a great sophomore season!
Pannell was the Quarterback of the JV team as a freshman, but I project him to be a CB1 or slot receiver at the next level.
-Great Athleticism: Very agile with good quick twitch ability. Good speed to pull away from defenders and catch ball carriers downfield.
-Physicality: Though he is undersized he is a good consistent tackler, also not afraid to put his head down to hit a hole and gain extra yardage.
-A+ Coverage Ability: Ahead of the curve in terms of great technique and mechanics. Can play bump & run and catch man, good job turning and running while remaining in hip pocket, good eyes to match players in zone and locate ball, can high point ball in the air.

I walked away from camp very impressed with OBrian. He was very good during individual drills. Taking all the coaching in and applying it to every rep. OBrian showed quick choppy feet and good burst coming out of his breaks. He showed a very smooth back pedal and was able to flip his hips and run with out slowing down. During the one on one portion OBrian lined up from upperclassman and held his own more times than not. On one occasion a wide receiver made an excellent catch. This did not phase OBrian at all. He quickly forgot about it and jumped back in on his next rep and won his battle. This 2029 defensive back made an impact at camp and raised his stock moving forward.
