About Nyzier

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile athlete who dominates on both sides of the ball, making plays as a wide receiver and defensive back.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a go-getter and a hard worker who’s not afraid to try new things. I’m always eager to learn and improve in any way that can take my game to the next level.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a three-year team captain, I lead by example and hold myself and my teammates to high standards. I believe true leadership means showing it on and off the field—staying disciplined, focused, and positive in every situation. I push my teammates to give their best effort, communicate clearly, and keep the team united. I take pride in mentoring younger players and helping them.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I started my football journey in AYF as a quarterback, which helped me develop a strong understanding of the game. Once I got to high school, I transitioned into playing wide receiver and defensive back, where I’ve continued to make an impact.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that feels like home—somewhere I can continue to develop as a player, contribute to the team’s success, and keep playing the game I love.

Nyzier Matthews Nyzier Matthews Nyzier Matthews 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR/DB Brick Memorial | 2026 State NJ earned the MVP Honors in our first showcase in the Northeast. The 2026 WR, was one of a few Seniors in attendance, and he made his presence known.

Matthews should have offers, and looked bored throughout the showcase. He had amazing hands, and made excellent catches. He was a solid route runner, and had good footwork. Matthews, is a solid playmaker, standing at 6’3″, and displays an outstanding build for a WR prospect.
