About Nolan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team first player with a passion for the game. I am a down hill running back and have a nose for the football on defense. I pride myself with a hard work ethic and never give up on any play. I am on the field most every play of my football games, playing both sides of the ball and special teams. I love every part of this game period.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a person with high character and a strong work ethic. I stand up for what I believe in and try to lead by example. My NCSA TAP Assessment Results Ice the Methodical athlete

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I enjoy volunteering time and am active through my church, working along side my dad with the Knights of Columbus organization. I help collect donations that in turn help offset costs for families of local Special Olympic Athletes to attend their events. I am also an active FFA chapter member and active with the National Honor Society helping out people in my local community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a team captain and we are a small school. I show up early to the weight room and stay after practices to work with my teammates, especially underclassmen, getting them ready for the speed of varsity. Me and my teammates help out our community by setting up and tearing down for our town jamboree held every summer. My FFA Chapter holds pancake breakfast fundraisers that I help organize also.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced a major injury and had to recover. I played most of my sophomore season without my ACL, but did not know until after the season ended. I still played both sides of the ball that season even though I could not cut or accelerate well at all. I faced a 12 month recovery that made me appreciate playing football even more. I have fully recovered and I feel my dedication is even stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like play at the next level and I really don't have a preference. What is most important to me is finding a team and a college that is a good fit for me and them both. I feel like I am a versatile player so hopefully I can find that fit. I want to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy so that is something that is also important for me when considering a college.

Even with fewer players on the field, scouts can project their futures with 11 players based on traits shown by Gannon during his sophomore highlight video. He’s a powerful runner that defenders find difficult to bring down. Gannon hits the hole hard and runs downhill. He rushed for 447 yards and nine touchdowns, caught four balls for 85 yards and a score, and had 54.0 tackles (45 solo, 10.0 TFL) and 2.5 sacks defensively.
