An active, playmaking linebacker from Fayetteville, Blackwell is an instinctive defender who can make plays in coverage and against the run. He brings good size to the table at 6’4, 220 pounds, he’s strong, he moves quickly and can bat passes down at the line of scrimmage. Blackwell is coming off a really productive junior season where he made 108 total tackles with one interception, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery, all while helping out on offense. He’s one of the top linebackers returning in the area who showed last season he can play at the D1 level.
