has officially transferred from Valley View HS to Jonesboro HS. As mentioned plenty of times, Wendel displays good upfield burst, foot quickness, and dip off the line of scrimmage, putting himself in a position to make a play in the backfield or at the LOS. Off the snap, he creates leverage by engaging with good hand placement, timing, and lower body strength to either drive back the OL or shed blocks, keeping his eyes in the backfield. He consistently generates pressure vs the run or pass. Demonstrates good bend, lateral agility, awareness, and power off the EDGE. Wendel displays his sideline-to-sideline motor when pursuing backside and chasing down ball carriers. Overall, good athletic ability and physicality at the POA. Coaches, add him to your recruiting board.
