About Noah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Tough and hard-nosed. Two-year OL starter at Virginia 6A. Playing 60% of the snaps this season at Defensive End/Tackle. Physical style.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to get better every day. I love football and want to compete. I listen to coaches and respond well to 1:1 instruction. When things don't go well, I take accountability and work to not repeat mistakes.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Young Life which is a high school youth ministry organization. We do service projects and volunteer work.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

We are a young team with very few seniors, so as a junior I've taken on a vocal role on the team in the weight room, film room, and on the field. I love my teammates and want us all to get better as a unit. I've been named a captain for my senior season in 2025.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

We've had a lot of coaching turnover the last three years. Three different varsity head coaches in the last three seasons. The players have had to take a lot of ownership of the program with the changing coaches. Also, when I was called up from JV to start on the Varsity OL as a sophomore the transition was difficult. I hit the gym hard in the offseason and went from 205lbs to 245lbs.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to a school where I can pursue a degree in Health Sciences or Business. I have poured myself in to understanding health, nutrition, and exercise. I also want to play football at the next level so that will factor heavily in to my decision.

Defensively it was another shutout and senior Noah Barnhill Noah Barnhill Noah Barnhill 6'2" | 245 lbs | OL/DL Freedom-South Riding | 2026 State VA was dominant on the line of scrimmage. I am cheating a bit here as Barnhill is a big reason why the Eagles run games goes, but his work at defensive tackle cannot be overstated.

A big 34-8 win on Friday for @FSR_Varsity_FB against Dominion and we are 4-0 on the season! 3 TKLs, 1 TFL on defense and another clean game with zero sacks allowed on offense. Ranked as an offensive lineman, Noah impressed us with his defensive line play during the showcase. The defensive line coach quickly brought his name up when discussing the top performers of the day. He is strong at the point of attack, and does a good job at shedding blocks with his strength and his hand. Turn on his film and you see the same thing in the games. Don’t sleep on his offensive line film either which I covered in a mid-season film review.

A stud linemen Barnhill is due for a rankings bump when we update the 2026 class soon. Playing for Freedom South Riding, he is 6’2 and 250 lbs., the coaches on hand will enjoy his work. Barnhill is 6’2 and 245 lbs. and he is making his recruiting visits lately including to Yale and Campbell University. Barnhill helped guide the Eagles as a junior and is poised for more of a leadership role in 2025. Ranking 77th in his position group does not serve him justice this kid is a potential Division 1 football player.

The Right Tackle for Freedom is showing good strength at the point of attack. Specifically showing good down blocks, driving defenders out of the game. He is showing solid pass blocking in both vertical and jump sets, with the ability to mirror the pass rusher. Currently a junior, Noah has room to develop his game, but the foundation is there.
