3 of Rocco’s 4 TDs went to Niear Patterson Niear Patterson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Sweet Home | 2025 State NY . Niear was electric scoring TDs from 15, 70 and 88 yards out respectively. Patterson has a quick burst, excellent football intuition and can play both sides of the ball. Late in the game, he had a big pass defensed on 3rd down that halted the Red Devils drive.

In previous seasons, Niear Patterson Niear Patterson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Sweet Home | 2025 State NY was used primarily as a kick returner earning 1st team All Western New York in that position last year. But in opening week of 2024, Patterson proved to be a force on offense as he caught 2-40+ yard touchdown passes and a 2-point conversion in Sweet Home’s astonishing comeback attempt.

Niear Patterson Niear Patterson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Sweet Home | 2025 State NY was a 1^st team All Western New York selection as a Kick Returner. He recorded 4 return touchdowns in 2023 (3 kicks and 1 punt). Niear has great vision and excellent cutting ability. When Patterson hits a second gear, there is nobody that can catch him. There are some great opportunities to come for Patterson; on top of his return abilities, he is an exceptional receiver and cornerback.

Every time Niear Patterson Niear Patterson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Sweet Home | 2025 State NY had the ball, he was a threat to put up 6. There weren’t many statistics entered on Patterson’s Junior season but what was shown was 3 kick returns for touchdowns, including an 88 yarder in week 1 vs Williamsville East when Sweet Home won 21-16. Along with being a kick returner, Patterson also took back punts, scoring an 80 yard return vs Iroquois which turned out to be another one possession win. There is a case to be made that without Niear Patterson Niear Patterson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Sweet Home | 2025 State NY ‘s prowess on Special Teams, Sweet Home goes from 6-3 and a #4 seed in the playoffs to no more than 4-5 and possibly knocked out of the Class A bracket.
