One of the more impressive testing linebackers at Who’s Next earlier this year, Nico Pizzola Nico Pizzola 5'8" | 160 lbs | LB/RB Rumson-Fairhaven Bulldogs (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ showed off the athletic profile of a player who could make plenty of noise this season. At 5’8″, 160 pounds as a 2031 prospect, he already brings a solid frame to the position and the physical tools to match. I have a feeling the athleticism will translate into some punishing hits once the pads come on.

I’m especially interested in seeing more of him in game action. Nico’s testing numbers are encouraging, but I’m curious to see how he processes the game, finds the football and uses his physical tools in live situations. If the early signs are any indication, Pizzola could be a linebacker with both a high football IQ and plenty of physicality.

The Prep Redzone Next New Jersey Who’s Next Middle School Exposure Camp was the third time I’ve seen Pizzola play live since September and it was another strong showing for him. A member of the 12U Jersey Shore AYF All-Stars this December, he showed why he was an excellent selection for the 2025 National Runner-up squad. He did a solid job during combine testing, highlighted by 2031 Linebacker-best 7’6″ in the broad jump.

Another prospect that wasn’t on the initial tryout roster, yet quickly garnered attention from myself and other coaches was Nico Pizzola Nico Pizzola 5'8" | 160 lbs | LB/RB Rumson-Fairhaven Bulldogs (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ . Pizzola had a strong lower half and generated a lot of power from his hips. He ran better than the majority of prospects but really stood out to me during the agility station. He looked the part of a Middle Linebacker who could shuffle his feet and get through the muck, before arriving with a big stick. Pizzola had a nice showing overall.
