didn’t get the chance to perform at the Who’s Next earlier this year, but he was still in attendance to support his teammates and show how devoted he is to the sport. Nico was clearly itching to be out on the field, missing out on the competing against the best in the state.
However, Nico still deserves recognition even though we didn’t get the chance to see him on the field that Saturday morning. Looking back on his 2025 highlights, you can tell Nico is an elite pass catcher in the making. Nico has great size for his age, towering over the DBs he’d face off against. What’s really impressive to see is that height doesn’t seem to slow him down one bit. Nico showed again and again that he has a burst off of the line that catches corners off guard, giving Nico the ability to streak on down the field unguarded. To go with his downfield speed, Nico’s hand skills hint at a player that can come down with nearly any ball. He has strong hands and can make the contested catch, while also making adjustments when the ball isn’t placed in an easy location. Nico is a receiver to keep an eye on not only through this offseason but for years to come.

put on a show in his first game of the year. On the receiving end of multiple catches, Nico demonstrated all of the qualities you look for in a young, talented receiver. Finding himself completely alone on his scoring play, Nico made it an easy pitch and catch. He once again was an easy target coming across the middle in the back of the end zone to haul in a catch later on in the game, but the play was unfortunately called back. In his other catches on the day, Nico showed great hand skills and the ability to reposition for the ball mid-route to put himself in the best position to come down with it. After bringing in the ball, Nico delivered the hit to would be tacklers and was a YAC specialist for the day.
Nico continued his dominance on defense as well as he recorded a sack and a fumble recovery to round out the day.

may be at the top of my list of players you NEED to pay attention to heading into the 2025 season. A receiver that overshadows every defender he squares up against (5’10”), Nico immediately draws your attention when he’s lined up out wide. With his current size advantage, I would say Nico is close to uncoverable, especially when it comes to the 50/50 ball where the defender has to compete with him it. Outside of his catch radius, Nico is a sprinter with a long stride that can accelerate quickly to break away from defenders.
You need to check out Nico’s highlights on Instagram to get a true sense of his capabilities and how dominant he can become. I am excited to see more tape of him in open space with the ball in his hands. I am curious to see if his size makes it a challenge to break down and change directions or if he is able to maintain speed throughout the transition. Nico may very well be the #1 receiver in the NJ 2031 class.
