Butler currently holds a perfect 10-0 record, and a lot of the success stems from the continuous big plays their defense has been able to produce. Nick is one of the young leaders of the pack, as he picked the ball off 6 times thus far this season and returned one of them for a long touchdown. Nick is a taller DB with great anticipation, having the ability to stop on a dime and turn back up field to cut off the route and make a play on the ball. Nick plays the safety position exceptionally well, as he is very rangy and can cover sideline to sideline. His defensive intelligence combined with quick hips and foot work allows him to always find a way to get involved with the pass play.
