About Nicholas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A word to best describe my gameplay is aggressive. I play until the whistle and try to get to the ball carrier as quickly as possible. I try to play fast and hard consistently. I have been told by my coaches that I am the hardest working kid on the field and I am relentless.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Words to best describe me are I am a team player and I am all inclusive. I make friends and possess the ability to talk to anyone. I strive to be the most positive and hardest working person on the field. I am relentless with a challenge and do not back down. I am very loyal to my family, teammates and friends.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I consistently provide encouragement and praise to my teammates. I celebrate their successes and support when they struggle. I talk to everyone and treat everyone equally. When I see someone struggling, either in class or on my team I jump in to help.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last fall during the last few seconds of the first game of my sophomore year, I tore my ACL and meniscus. I supported my teammates at every game and attended every practice I was able to. I became hyper focused on rebuilding and coming back. I trained and lifted weights 5 days a week to come back bigger and stronger. I was able to put on 40 lbs from my sophomore year, to get back on the field.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with smaller class sizes, is supportive, and has a focus on academics. The preference would be a school in the midwest. A college that will push the student and athletes to ensure they are their best selves in and out of the classroom and on and off the field.
