Hunt is one of the top players across the SFL just heading into his sophomore season and is dominant player on either side of the ball for one of the top programs in northern California year in and year out. He is very technically sound for his age, plays with heavy hands and tremendous power at the POA while winning with leverage and using his length to choke out blockers consistently and provide a consistent pass rush from various spots up-front. Offensively, he passes the eye test as well with long arms and excellent feet and movement abilities while seemingly comfortable in space and has nasty intentions when blocking downfield. Hunt should field plenty of FCS+ offers after his junior season and is a key rising name to note as we head into the first part of the year.
Hunt possesses all the key traits of a major D1 prospect on either side of the line. 6’5” 250 lbs. with a 79 inch wingspan, he’s got good weight distribution in his frame and ideal length. Outstanding athlete at his size with natural movement skills, bend, and initial quickness off the ball. Well coached, he plays with good leverage and hand usage on both sides of the ball to control opponents and win at the POA. Demonstrates great balance and footwork at the contact point staying inside of his frame to maximize strength and not give up ground. In pass protection, he’s quick into his kick step and shows he can match movement with good foot speed and lateral agility. Earned his first offer from San Diego State in late January but expect to see a big jump in recruitment going forward.
