About Nicholas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a 2029 lefty QB that has the ability to stretch the ball vertically down the field and fit my throws into small tight windows. I do like to check out of plays according to what the defenses shows to put my team in the best position to execute rather than be RPO capabilities on intermediate to check downs to the rbs.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I've been coached by dad since I was 7 years old and I have been coached the hardest due to him being my head coach. It has taught me mental and physical toughness throughout the years to improve and continue my overall growth and development as a leader on the field, a great teammate off the field, and a excellent scholar in the classrooms.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being able to hold myself to the standards of the team as well as being accountable for my actions and holding my teammates/classmates accountable for their actions also.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being born a premature baby has tough me to always fight for what I want and earn everything. Being a coaches' son has also taught me the toughness aspect that comes with the game and how it translates in life.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college that will cover my academic and athletics through my hard work in the classroom and field.

One of the few ranked prospects I had my eyes on Sunday night was Fargo Shanley 2029 quarterback Nichiolas Hawkins. Our QB3 in our ND 2029 rankings, looked the part from the arm talent I got to watch in the live eval. Nicholas showed off great accuracy on short and intermediate throws I was able to watch late in the tryout session, as he allowed his wide receivers to advance upfield quickly. The best skillset I saw live and in-person from Nichiolas, showed off with his poise as I feel as a 2029 prospect, he was well-above his class when it came to how dialed in he was inside the pocket.

Nicholas might not be the biggest quarterback out there at the moment, but the balanced arm strength he can generate at that size is intriguing in my eyes. He shows off efficency with his reads by showing off the speed of his progressions from the first to the second read which shows off persitently with the arm talent he has on muliple levels of the football field as a southpaw quarterback that will go to Fargo Shanley this fall. I could tell by his 7v7 tape that was out there, that Nicholas wins with his percision throws which is gained from developing sound chemistry with his receiving core which he looks to have and continue to build for the Deacons upcoming.
