Timmerman played defensive back and was a versatile RB/WR on offense, ending his junior season with 77 tackles, six interceptions, 856 all-purpose yards, and seven touchdowns. On offense, Nathan does a great job finding open running lanes and is especially dangerous when he’s able to turn the corner and use his excellent burst of speed to create separation from defenders. Timmerman can also pound away at the middle of the defense with a strong base that keeps his legs pumping as he fights for additional yardage. Solid twitch helps him make defenders whiff in the open field. Defensively, I was very impressed by the vision and range Nathan showed from the safety position, scanning the field quickly and effectively with the ability to close on the ball in a flash. Very instinctive in coverage with excellent ball skills that make him a threat to force turnovers. Great athlete who should be on more boards!
